Civilization has come down upon us…almost. The new Jeep Wrangler almost gives the impression of civility and gentility. And those impressions are absolutely correct until you get in the car and drive off somewhere where the landscape is less than inviting. That’s where the politeness stops and the survivor kicks in to gear.

The Wrangler is a great looking car and one of the only Jeep models to actually resemble, to some extent, the Jeeps of old. It has strong exterior lines and the interior gives luxury cars a run for their money. However, its off-roading abilities leave every other brand at the starting gate. The Wrangler and Jeep in general were made for rough terrain. After all, these great four-wheelers were developed to win World War II, which is what they did. Well, they helped a lot, anyway.

Jeep has come a long way since those first topless, olive green general purpose vehicles were born. The Wrangler is definitely their direct descendant and every time it has the opportunity to go off the beaten path, it proves it. The word Wrangler means someone who controls livestock and horses. The Jeep Wrangler isn’t far off from that definition. It takes control over everything wild, wherever it may be. It just shifts into gear and moves forward, no matter what the environment or terrain.

Just about anywhere you look today, you can catch a glimpse of a Jeep Wrangler. Whether you’re on the freeway heading toward the mall or on a rocky road just about to cross a moving stream. They are all over the place. And they fit in wherever you are. They’re perfect for ranching, no doubt, and they’re ideal for driving around town.  Some people buy them because of their functionality in inhospitable climates and landscape, while others get them for their style and comfort. If there was ever a vehicle that had two distinct uses and personalities it is most certainly the Jeep Wrangler. All in all it is the most able four-wheeler out there and it is also one of the coolest cars to drive in town.

Onlookers will always be watching you when you pull up in a Wrangler. They’ll be wondering if you really go off-roading or if you bought it because it’s such a great car. Either way it doesn’t matter, because you can do whatever you want, whenever you want when you have a Jeep Wrangler.
